vSeeBox Setup Guide: Step by Step
Setting up your vSeeBox takes about 15 minutes. You'll need your TV, an internet connection (Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable), and your Wi-Fi password.
1. Check what's in the box
Unpack the box, the remote, the power adapter and the HDMI cable. Put the batteries in the remote if it uses them. Always use the power adapter that came with your vSeeBox — a different adapter can cause restarts or a box that won't start.
2. Connect it to your TV
- Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the back of the vSeeBox and the other end into a free HDMI port on your TV. Note the port number (for example, HDMI 2).
- If your router is close by, plug an Ethernet cable into the box for the most reliable connection. Otherwise you'll use Wi-Fi in step 4.
- Plug in the power adapter. The box turns on by itself.
3. Switch your TV to the right input
Turn on your TV and press its Input or Source button until you see the HDMI port you used. The vSeeBox start screen will appear — the first start can take a minute or two.
4. Pair the remote and connect to the internet
Follow the on-screen steps to pair the remote (see How to pair your remote if it doesn't connect) and to choose your Wi-Fi network and enter your password. If you plugged in an Ethernet cable, the box connects on its own.
5. Finish the first-time setup
- Choose your language, time zone and date/time if asked.
- Install any system update the box offers, and don't unplug it while it updates.
- When the home screen appears, you're ready to go.
Tips for the best picture
- Use a wired Ethernet connection when you can — it's steadier than Wi-Fi.
- On Wi-Fi, keep the box within good range of your router and avoid hiding it behind the TV or inside a cabinet.
- Plan on about 25 Mbps for 4K on each TV that's streaming at the same time.
